Japanese troops are now occupying some of the property

of the Canton-Kowloon Railway and have wantonly ransacked

Canton station besides removing one first class coach and

five waggons belonging to the British section. One of the

waggons has now been returned. Has any action been taken

in Tokyo as a result of your telegram No. 1530 to Foreign

Office?.
